2025: A Year of Building at Velocity

From 10x growth to 1M+ integrations: How Matia made unified data operations real in 2025 and what's next for our AI layer.
Benjamin Segal, Co-Founder & CEO

I don't usually do year-in-review posts. They can feel a bit self-congratulatory. But since we have a video…sitting here at the end of 2025, I realize I owe it to our team, our customers, and everyone who's been part of this journey to pause and actually reflect on what just happened.

Because what just happened was extraordinary.

We built at a pace I didn't think was possible

When we started Matia, the vision was clear: unify the fragmented DataOps landscape into one platform that actually works. I actually set out hoping to be a customer of “Matia” (before it existed) and realized I would need to build the tool that I wish I had as a data leader. Simple in concept. Yet, no one had done it yet.

This year, we shipped dozens of major features and capabilities. Cost optimization that actually saves money. Data quality rules that prevent deep issues before they start. Lineage that traces problems to their source in seconds. 150+ connectors that aren’t just “light” solutions. AI capabilities that don't just monitor but recommend. Enterprise readiness that means security teams can actually say yes.

The video above captures the velocity, but it doesn't capture the late nights, the hard decisions, or the moments where we had to choose between good and great. We always chose great. Sometimes it took longer. It was always worth it.

Our customers pushed us to be better

I'm going to be honest: some of our best features exist because a customer asked for something seemingly impossible on a Tuesday and we shipped it by Thursday. (you know who you are…)

That's not normal in enterprise software. It should be.

We grew 10x this year. We ran over a million integrations. We earned G2 badges, became available in the AWS Marketplace, and partered with Snowflake. But the number that matters most to me is our support response time: under five minutes, consistently, and under 2 on really good days.

The team tripled, the mission stayed the same

We're three times the size of the team since the start of the year. New faces, new expertise, new perspectives. Every hire this year raised the bar.

But here's what hasn't changed: we're still obsessed with solving the real problems. They’re not always the sexy ones, but they matter to the data teams we work with.

Data at scale is challenging…period. Companies like Ramp, Drata, Honeybook, Lemonade, Dialpad, Phreesia, Recharge, and dozens of others have trusted us with their most critical infrastructure, and we don’t take that lightly.

We're just getting started

The video ends with that line, and I mean it. Everything we built this year is foundation. The real work is ahead.

We're going after the hardest problems in data operations. The ones everyone says are "too complex" or "too ambitious." Those are exactly the ones worth solving. We’ve seen a lot of consolidation in the data space this past year, and that just further proves that the problem we set out to solve has validity.

2026 is going to be even more intense. We're expanding our AI capabilities in ways that'll make this year look like a bleep on the radar. We're going deeper on observability. We're making enterprise features that don't compromise on speed. And we're going to keep shipping at velocity because that's what our customers need.

Thank you

To our team: you're the reason any of this is possible. Your talent, your grit, your refusal to ship and create anything less than excellent, that's what built this year.

To our customers: thank you for trusting us with your data infrastructure. Thank you for the  feedback that made us better. Thank you for believing in what we're building.

To our partners, investors, and supporters: your faith in this mission keeps us going on the hard days.

And to anyone reading this who's drowning in data entropy or wasting time on tools that don't talk to each other: we see you. We're building for you. And we'd love to show you what's possible.

Here's to 2026. Let's build something remarkable. Stay tuned.
